Significant increase in IT services exports due to SIFC’s support

ISLAMABAD: The export of IT services has witnessed notable growth, largely due to the efforts of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

As per the latest data, IT service exports have risen by six percent, generating $5.4 billion in foreign exchange over the last eight months.

Exports in the domains of IT, computer, and telecommunication services have surged by 25 percent, amounting to $2.4 billion.

The government has outlined a five-year roadmap aiming to boost IT exports to $15 billion, and the current upward trend is laying the foundation for achieving this ambitious target.
