PM removes DG FIA due to rising incidents of human trafficking

ISLAMABAD: Prime  Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has removed Director General (DG) FIA Ahmad Ishaq Jahangir from his post in the wake of rising incidents of human trafficking.

According to sources he has been appointed OSD in establishment division.

PM  has accorded formal approval to  removing DG FIA while no decision has  come to fore about his successor.

Government sources said this step was taken at high level due to upsurge in human trafficking incidents in the country.
