Islamabad: Federal Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb met with Mr. Irfan Neziroglu, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Pakistan, who visited the Finance Ministry.

Senator Aurangzeb warmly welcomed Mr. Neziroglu to his diplomatic post in Pakistan. He emphasized the deep historical and brotherly ties between the two nations and expressed confidence in the significant potential to increase the current level of bilateral trade between Pakistan and Turkey.
The Minister also recalled his recent meeting with Mr. Mehmet Şimşek, Turkey’s Minister of Treasury and Finance, in Washington, D.C., during the World Bank Group/IMF Annual Meetings 2024, where they discussed areas of mutual interest.
He further noted that Pakistan could benefit from Turkey’s experience in power sector reforms and extended an invitation to Turkish companies to explore joint ventures with Pakistani firms, particularly in information technology and agriculture.
Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu praised Pakistan’s economic reforms and the resulting macroeconomic stability. He assured his complete support in further enhancing the bilateral relations between the two countries.
