ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has urged the UN Security Council to take decisive action against Israeli aggression in Gaza and the West Bank.

While addressing a Security Council briefing on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Munir Akram, strongly condemned Israel’s latest escalation, including its intensified bombardment of Gaza and the continued blockade of humanitarian aid.

Highlighting the expansion of Israel’s large-scale military operations, Munir Akram stated that daily military raids, settler violence, and illegal land annexations are part of a systematic attempt to ethnically cleanse the Palestinian population in the West Bank.Pakistan Calls for Global Response to Gaza and Kashmir Crises Amidst Strengthened Türkiye Relations

He emphasized that a credible political process must lead to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.
