ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to take concrete steps towards designating Islamabad and Riyadh as twin cities.

This understanding was reached during a meeting between Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Saudi Deputy Interior Minister Nasser bin Abdul Aziz Al Dawood in Islamabad.

Both sides also committed to implementing the prisoner exchange agreement, with the legal procedures for the repatriation of 419 Pakistani prisoners in Saudi Arabia set to be finalized soon.Call on the Prime Minister by Deputy Interior Minister of Saudi Arabia

In his remarks, Mohsin Naqvi described Saudi Arabia as a brotherly nation and assured full cooperation to strengthen bilateral ties. He also highlighted Pakistan’s strict measures against individuals involved in organized begging operations targeting Saudi Arabia, mentioning an ongoing nationwide crackdown on such groups.

The Interior Minister emphasized that Saudi nationals do not require visas to visit Pakistan and are welcome to travel freely.

The Saudi Deputy Interior Minister expressed the Kingdom’s desire to further enhance its relationship with Pakistan.
