Islamabad: H.E. Dr. Nasser bin Abdul Aziz Al Dawood, the Deputy Interior Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who is on an official visit to Pakistan, called on the Prime Minister today.

The Prime Minister warmly welcomed the Saudi Deputy Interior Minister to Pakistan and wished him a successful visit. He conveyed his greetings and best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.PM Shehbaz and Saudi Investment Leaders Discuss Economic Progress

Recalling the historic and brotherly ties between the two countries, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership and government for their continued support to Pakistan. He noted that both nations were working together to further enhance Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations, with a particular focus on mutually beneficial economic and investment cooperation. The Prime Minister also expressed satisfaction over the progress made in the implementation of MoUs between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, including the Saudi investment of 2.8 billion USD in Pakistan.

The situation in Gaza and the wider Middle East was also discussed. The Prime Minister commended Saudi Arabia’s leadership for hosting the recent Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh and praised the stance of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the Palestinian issue.

The Prime Minister applauded Saudi Arabia’s leadership role and the efforts of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in unifying the Ummah to collectively call for an end to the violence in Gaza, caused by Israel’s actions.

Emphasizing the importance of defense and security cooperation, the Prime Minister stated that the visit of the Deputy Interior Minister and his delegation would help strengthen ties in these critical areas.

The Prime Minister also reiterated his invitation to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to visit Pakistan officially at the earliest opportunity, assuring that the people of Pakistan were eagerly awaiting to give him a warm welcome.
