Petrol, Diesel Prices Likely to Dip Slightly from June 1

ISLAMABAD : The ex-depot sale prices of petrol and diesel are likely to witness a marginal reduction from June 1 in line with fluctuation of global oil prices and revision in rate of rupee against dollar.

The prices of kerosene and light diesel oil (LDO) may witness a slight upward adjustments.

According to industry official estimates, at the consumer level, the ex-depot price of petrol is likely to come down to Rs252.02 from Rs252.63 per liter. The price of diesel may fall slightly to Rs254.36 from Rs254.64 per liter.

 The ex-refinery price of petrol (PMG) is estimated to fall by Rs0.61 per litre to Rs151.19, marking a 0.4% decrease from Rs151.80 on May 16.

Diesel (HSD) ex refinery price may also witness a decline by Rs0.65 per litre to Rs155.95, recording a 0.4% drop.

The ex-refinery price of kerosene may go up by Rs0.31 to Rs136.96. In the meantime, the price of LDO could rise by Rs1.30 to Rs130.29 per liter.

This will result in an ex-depot increase of Rs0.31 for kerosene (to Rs164.96) and Rs1.30 for LDO (to Rs151.95).
