Defense Committee Applauds Indigenous Production Efforts

Islamabad: The National Assembly Standing Committee on Defence Production lauded the efforts made by the Ministry of Defence Production for indigenous production and manufacturing of Defence equipment.

2nd meeting (in-camera) of the Standing Committee on Defence Production was held today at 11:00 a.m. in the Parliament House, Islamabad, under the Chairmanship of   Mr. Javaid Iqbal, MNA.

Earlier the Additional Secretary, Ministry of Defence Production, briefed the Committee on organizational structure and working of the Ministry. He informed the Committee about the role and responsibilities of the Ministry; assigned to it, under the Rules of Business 1973.

The Standing Committee; while appreciating the Ministry over its comprehensive briefing unanimously expressed its resolve to support the Ministry in their endeavors to make the defence of Pakistan, impregnable.

The meeting was attended by MNAs; Sardar Ghulam Abbas, Mr. Nadeem Abbas, Mr.Muhammad Khan Daha, Ms. Nuzhat Sadiq, Mir Shabbir Ali Bijrani, Mr. Muhammad Shaharyar Khan Mahar, Syed Murtaza Mahmud, Mr. Asad Alam Niazi, Ms. Sofia Saeed Shah, Ms. Farukh Khan, Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Khan, Mr. Fazal Muhammad Khan, Mr. Muhammad Aslam Ghumman, Mr. Ali Zahid (via online) and Mr. Sana Ullah Khan Mastikhel (via online). The senior officers from Ministry of Defence Production and its attached departments also attended the meeting.
