NEW YORK: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif attended a ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh’s membership in the United Nations last night, at the invitation of Bangladesh’s Chief Advisor, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, in New York.

Joining the Prime Minister were Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Federal Education and Professional Training Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.

Dr. Muhammad Yunus warmly welcomed the Prime Minister and the Pakistani delegation. The two leaders expressed a commitment to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh across various sectors.

The discussions were optimistic regarding the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.
