Shaza Fatima Approves Rs. 599.29 Million for Ignite, E-Sports Competition

ISLAMABAD: On Monday, the Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, led the 45th R&D Fund Policy Committee meeting.

During the meeting, the committee approved the release of Rs. 599.29 million for Ignite Company’s budget for the 2nd Quarter of FY 2024-25.

Ms. Shaza Fatima emphasized the importance of keeping Ignite projects short-term, ensuring they are completed within the specified timeframe. She instructed that each project should have a clear timeline and be completed on schedule.

Additionally, the Minister directed Ignite to organize an e-sports competition featuring locally developed games.

Earlier, Ignite officials provided an update on their ongoing and upcoming projects.

The meeting concluded with the approval of the minutes from the 44th R&D Fund Policy Committee meeting.
