ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has stated that the world is recognizing Pakistan’s effective economic policies, with the country’s economic indicators trending positively.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore today (Saturday), he mentioned that according to Bloomberg, Pakistan’s economy is on the rise, and its stock market is performing remarkably well.
The Minister highlighted that during the recent visit of the Malaysian Prime Minister to Pakistan, an agreement was reached for Pakistan to export halal meat worth two hundred million dollars and one hundred thousand tons of rice to Malaysia.
He noted that the country’s exports have increased by 14 percent, and the digitalization of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) was accomplished without incurring any costs.
Tarar also mentioned that the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines and other state-owned enterprises is currently in progress.
He affirmed that the economic vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is being put into action, with the world now recognizing Pakistan as an emerging economy.
