ISLAMABAD: Senior leaders from VEON Group, accompanied by Jazz leadership, met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss strategic investments in banking, financial services, data centers, software, and cloud infrastructure as catalysts for Pakistan’s digital transformation.

The delegation included VEON Group Founder & Chairman Augie K. Fabela, Group CEO Kaan Terzioğlu, Group Director of Corporate Affairs Marine Babayan, Jazz CEO Aamir Ibrahim, and Jazz’s Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer Syed Fakhar Ahmed.

As Pakistan’s largest foreign investor to date, VEON and Jazz reaffirmed their commitment to Pakistan as a key growth market, with Jazz leading innovation and digital inclusion. The Prime Minister was briefed on Jazz’s impactful contributions to banking and digital financial services, particularly its work to expand secure, accessible financial solutions to millions of unbanked and underserved Pakistanis. Additional discussions focused on Jazz’s investments in state-of-the-art data centers, software, and cloud services to strengthen Pakistan’s digital infrastructure. The Prime Minister commended Jazz’s role in advancing Pakistan’s digital landscape and fostering economic empowerment through technology.
