Islamabad: TikTok, in partnership with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), has unveiled the #DigitalHifazat Contest, an initiative designed to promote awareness of digital safety among young people throughout Pakistan.

The contest invites TikTok creators to make short, impactful videos that focus on six important topics: responsible social media use, tackling online harassment, preventing online scams, ensuring the safety and well-being of youth, understanding TikTok’s safety features, and addressing misinformation on social networks.Tiktok Removes 30,709,744 videos in Pakistan

With the #DigitalHifazat Contest, TikTok and the PTA aim to motivate users to share the message of digital safety and encourage a culture of verifying information prior to sharing. TikTok is dedicated to the safety of its users, ensuring that content on the platform complies with its Community Guidelines, addressing issues such as online harassment, fraud, threats to youth safety, and misinformation. Creators can enter the contest by sharing their videos with the hashtag #DigitalHifazat and tagging @ptaofficialpk in their submissions. Entries must be submitted via a form on the contest’s official hashtag page on TikTok, which is available in both English and Urdu. This page can be found by searching for the #DigitalHifazat hashtag in the app. Winning videos will be chosen based on content quality, relevance to the theme, and adherence to TikTok’s Community Guidelines. The results will be announced on the official hashtag page, with the winner receiving an Apple iPad Air and two runners-up being awarded Samsung smartphones. The contest is open to participants aged 13 and older.

This collaboration between TikTok and the PTA highlights a mutual commitment to improving digital literacy and safety in Pakistan.
