Current Account Surplus of US$12
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reported Current Account Surplus of US$12mn in Apr 2025, taking 10MFY25 surplus to US$1.88bn compared to deficit of US$1.33bn in 10MFY24.
Current Account remained in surplus during Apr 2025 despite wider expectations of deficit as goods exports according to PBS were US$2.1bn in Apr, while SBP has recorded exports of US$2.6bn during the same month. Total trade deficit reported by PBS was US$3.388bn, while SBP has reported US$2.6bn.

We maintain our FY25 current account surplus target of US$2.5-3.0bn, or 0.6-0.7% of GDP.
