Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his congratulations to the nation on this remarkable achievement of the PSX 100-Index surpassing 100,000 points.
In a statement, he emphasized that this historic milestone reflects the confidence of investors and the business sector in the government’s sound policies. He lauded the efforts of the government’s economic team and officials dedicated to fostering investment and achieving economic progress.
The Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to ensuring Pakistan’s economic stability and growth. He highlighted that the government made significant sacrifices, including prioritizing the nation’s economic needs over political interests, to steer the country away from default. He expressed gratitude that these efforts have borne fruit.
Shehbaz Sharif noted that after the departure of anarchist elements, the stock market began showing a positive trend again, reflecting renewed stability.
The Prime Minister also issued a stern warning to those attempting to disrupt the nation’s progress. He mentioned that the inflation rate has decreased further, the interest rate remains at 15 percent, and remittances have reached record levels, showcasing positive economic indicators.
He vowed that the government would continue its relentless efforts to ensure the country’s development and prosperity. He assured that enemies of Pakistan’s progress and stability would not succeed in their harmful agendas.
