Sindh Raises Cash Assistance for Mothers Under Mamta Program

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has approved an increase in maternal cash assistance under the Mamta Program, raising it from Rs30,000 to Rs41,000.

The announcement came during a meeting of the Sindh Social Protection Authority, where CM Shah reviewed ongoing welfare initiatives. He said the increase would ensure stronger financial support for mothers across the province.

Launched in 2023 with World Bank support, the Social Protection Delivery System is designed to be fully functional by 2027. The Mamta Program, its flagship scheme, is already operational in 15 districts, benefitting around 770,000 women.
