Silver Prices Also Steady as Gold Market Levels Off

Gold Price

The gold market saw no major movement on Sunday, as prices in Pakistan and abroad remained unchanged from the previous session.

Figures released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association confirmed that the price of 24-karat gold per tola stood firm at Rs386,300, while 10 grams of gold held steady at Rs331,189.

In the international market, gold maintained its level at $3,643 per ounce, reflecting stability across global bullion trading floors.

Silver prices mirrored the trend, with 24-karat silver per tola priced at Rs4,443, unchanged from Saturday.

The price freeze comes after a period of sharp fluctuations driven by speculation over U.S. interest rates and currency pressures. Traders note that global uncertainty has kept gold attractive for investors, but the absence of new triggers has led to a temporary pause.

Economists highlight that Pakistan’s local market is closely tied to global benchmarks, with rupee-dollar exchange rates playing a crucial role in shaping domestic bullion prices. While the current calm is welcome, volatility may return if global central banks adjust monetary policies or if geopolitical tensions intensify.

For now, jewellers and consumers in Pakistan are watching the market closely. With wedding season approaching, any sudden surge in prices could impact demand.
