Shipping Activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Seven vessels, including MSC Positano, Cussler, SM Falcon, Tsukuba Galaxy, Al Jasra, Energy Centaur, and Al-Diab-II, carrying containers, palm oil, chemicals, LNG, gas oil, and LPG, docked at various terminals of Port Qasim. These terminals included Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, Engro Elengy Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal, and Sui Southern Gas Terminal.

In the past 24 hours, 12 ships were actively handled at PQA berths. Of these, two vessels, MSC Positano and Milaha Qatar, departed on Monday morning, while six others—Tsukuba Galaxy, Al-Diab-II, SM Falcon, Energy Centaur, Abdullah-M, and Cussler—are scheduled to leave by Monday afternoon.

The port managed a cargo volume of 241,500 tonnes within the last 24 hours, including 213,448 tonnes of imports and 28,052 tonnes of exports. This was transported in 4,250 containers, comprising 3,242 TEUs of imports and 1,008 TEUs of exports.

Currently, 13 vessels are anchored at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim. Among them, five ships—MSC Silvana-VIII, Manticore, DM Bea, Iolaos, and Pacific ERA—are slated to load or unload containers, rice, palm oil, coal, and mogas at QICT, MW-2, LCT, PIBT, and FOTCO, respectively, on Monday. Additionally, two more container ships, Maersk Newark and Cap Andreas, are expected to arrive on Tuesday.
