ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reached out to H.E. Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, to convey heartfelt condolences to the people of Malaysia over the loss of lives and property caused by recent floods triggered by heavy rains across multiple states.
He expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with Malaysia during these challenging times and commended the Malaysian government for its prompt and effective response to the natural disaster.Malaysian PM to arrive in Pakistan
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended an offer of support, including the immediate dispatch of humanitarian aid, as a gesture of Pakistan’s unwavering friendship with Malaysia.
Reflecting on Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s visit to Pakistan in October, he expressed satisfaction with the progress in bilateral relations and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest. He also noted that several trade-related issues identified during the Malaysian Prime Minister’s visit had been amicably resolved.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his support and emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration in key areas.
Both leaders agreed to sustain the momentum of high-level engagements, with plans for the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister of Pakistan to visit Kuala Lumpur early next year.
