ISLAMABAD: Russia is eager to provide expertise in the modernization of Pakistan’s fertilizer plants and to implement training programs for Pakistani farmers aimed at improving agricultural productivity. This sentiment was expressed by Aleksei Gruzdev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, during his meeting with Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, in Islamabad.
The discussions during the meeting were centered on enhancing economic collaboration and identifying new trade opportunities between the two nations. The Russian Deputy Minister emphasized Russia’s desire to increase exports of agricultural and railway machinery, as well as metal products, to Pakistan.
In his remarks, Jam Kamal Khan pointed out the significant untapped potential in trade between Pakistan and Russia. They also addressed the forthcoming 5th Joint Working Group meeting, which is set to take place on the 26th of this month in Islamabad.
