Lahore: Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has been appointed as Pakistan’s captain for limited-overs cricket, while Salman Ali Agha will serve as vice-captain. This announcement comes as the selectors revealed Pakistan’s squads for the ODI and T20I series in Australia and Zimbabwe, scheduled from November 4 to December 5. The 32-year-old Rizwan, who made his debut in limited-overs cricket in 2015, has participated in 74 ODIs and 102 T20Is, accumulating 5,401 runs, including four centuries, and has been involved in 143 dismissals as a wicketkeeper. When he leads the team in the first ODI against Australia in Melbourne on November 4, Rizwan will become Pakistan’s 31st captain. For the opening T20I in Brisbane on November 14, he will be the 12th person to captain Pakistan in this format.
