FO rejects advice with regards to dialogue b/w Pakistan, TTP
ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office has firmly rejected any proposals or suggestions regarding dialogue between Pakistan and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). During her weekly news briefing in Islamabad today, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch reiterated that Pakistan has no interest whatsoever in negotiations with terrorist organizations responsible for the deaths of our civilians and security personnel.State Minister for Finance pledges government support to strengthen CCP
She stated that Pakistan views such recommendations as an affront to those who have lost their loved ones due to the actions of the TTP. The Spokesperson highlighted that Afghan authorities bear the primary responsibility for taking action against terrorist groups, particularly the TTP, which operate from Afghanistan. She mentioned that Pakistan has also provided Afghan authorities with solid evidence in this regard.
The Spokesperson pointed out that Pakistan has brought to the attention of the international community India’s extraterritorial and extrajudicial activities. She expressed hope that the global community would urge India to refrain from these actions both within Pakistan and internationally.
In response to a question, the Spokesperson stated that Chinese nationals are our esteemed guests who are making significant contributions to Pakistan’s development. She affirmed that we are dedicated to ensuring complete security for Chinese nationals, projects, and institutions in Pakistan, a commitment that has been communicated at the highest levels of Chinese leadership.
