When a journalist asked about police entering Parliament lodges during his tenure, Imran Khan replied that he was not aware of such incidents in the lodges, but emphasized that no one had been removed from Parliament up to now.
Regarding Rana Sanaullah’s drug case, Imran Khan mentioned that the case was filed by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), led by a Major General. He had called the ANF chief, who briefed the cabinet and presented evidence. Imran Khan said they had no knowledge of whether the drugs were actually found with Rana Sanaullah.
Imran Khan criticized the current state of democracy, saying it was non-existent. He pointed out that when a party with fewer than 20 seats was seated in Parliament, democracy had effectively ended there. He also noted media restrictions and threats against judges.
He said the party is preparing for a street movement and warned that if they believe he and his supporters will remain silent about the proposed amendment, they are mistaken. He stated that the authorities would be responsible for whatever happens next.
Imran Khan announced that regardless of any permissions or restrictions, they will hold a rally in Lahore on September 21. He asserted that holding rallies is their democratic and constitutional right and that they have been denied this right for a year and a half, but they will not be stopped now.
