ISLAMABAD: Minister for Maritime Affairs, Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh, has extended an invitation to the Korean government and investors to explore opportunities within Pakistan’s port and shipping sector.
He made these remarks during a meeting with the Korean Ambassador to Pakistan, Park Ki Jun, in Islamabad.
The Minister pointed out that countries such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, and Malaysia have already made substantial investments in Pakistan’s ports, and expressed optimism that Korean investors would also capitalize on this potential.GP Cap. Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh also emphasized other areas where bilateral cooperation could be enhanced, including renewable energy, solar, wind, hydropower, urban planning, and transportation initiatives.
He commended the ongoing educational exchange programs between the two nations and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Korea across key sectors, aiming to establish a mutually beneficial relationship for both countries.
