Punjab Govt to establish Special Planning Authority
LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to create a Special Planning Authority (SPA) to manage zoning for commercial, residential, and agricultural lands in an effort to combat illegal housing developments.
The decision was made at a meeting led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in Lahore on Wednesday. She stated that the SPA will monitor district-level land use planning and zoning, with obligatory evaluations every four years.Punjab CM launches Maskan-e-Ravi Housing Scheme
Maryam Nawaz also examined proposals for environmentally sustainable, pedestrian-friendly housing societies and reviewed the progress of the Lahore Development Plan.
