Punjab Govt launches first tree plantation project in Cholistan
LAHORE: The Punjab Government has initiated a transformative tree plantation project in Cholistan.
In an interview, Dr. Riazuddin, Director of Fisheries and Wildlife South Punjab, highlighted the critical role of such plantation efforts in advancing wildlife conservation.

He expressed concerns about the adverse environmental impacts of deforestation, which are affecting both human and wildlife populations. Dr. Riazuddin emphasized that the Punjab government is actively addressing these challenges, with promising results anticipated.
Additionally, he provided insights into the newly launched Fish Diagnostic Lab in Muzaffargarh, introduced as a pilot project to support fisheries in the region.
