ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed profound sorrow over the martyrdom of a policeman, Abdul Hameed, who lost his life due to stone pelting by PTI protesters in Islamabad.

The Prime Minister prayed for the martyr’s elevation in status and extended his condolences to the bereaved family.

Condemning the incident, Shehbaz Sharif stated that PTI has consistently chosen the path of violence disguised as protest.

He noted that this political party had previously attacked the PTV building and breached the gate of Parliament House.

The Prime Minister has instructed that the perpetrators be brought to justice.
