Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Has Arrived in New York for Five-Day Visit
NEW YORK: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in New York for a five-day visit to the United States to participate in the United Nations General Assembly session.
He is accompanied by Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar, Education and Professional Training Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
PM Set to Participate in UN Assembly Session
The Prime Minister has a packed schedule in New York. He will attend a reception hosted by United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres for the leaders of member states, where he will engage in informal discussions with heads of various nations.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will take part in the opening ceremony of the 2024 session of the United Nations General Assembly.
He is also set to meet with the President of Maldives, Mohamed Muizzu, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
