PPSC exams delayed due to floods

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has postponed its upcoming examinations due to the ongoing flood crisis across the country.

The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by PPSC Chairman Lt. Gen. (R) Muhammad Abdul Aziz. Senior officials, including Secretary Afzal Ahmad, Exam Member Mirza Suhail Amir, and Examination Incharge Rana Rahat Amin, also attended.

Spokesperson Syed Kazim Muqaddas Kazmi said the exams, which were scheduled for 30 and 31 August, will now be held on later dates. More than 8,000 applicants were due to sit for 434 positions, including the Inspector Legal (Specialist Cadre) posts in the Punjab Police.

Kazmi explained that candidates from different districts of Punjab were set to appear in the tests, but the ongoing floods made travel and participation difficult.

He added that new dates would be announced soon, and candidates would be notified through SMS, email, and the official website.
