Topline Sector Alert – Power Generation Numbers for Apr 2025
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s power generation increased by 22% YoY and 25% MoM to 10,513 GWh in Apr 2025, highest in 8 months. Governments decision to reduce electricity prices led to the high demand.
In 10MFY25, power generation remained flattish YoY to 100,660 GWh as compared to 100,980 GWh in 10MFY24.
Topline Maintains Buy Stance on SNGPL
Power generation cost (fuel cost) up by 8% YoY and 5% MoM in Apr 2025. In 10MFY25, power generation cost remained flattish to Rs8.8/unit.
