PM thanks expats for sending record remittances
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan recorded an all-time high in remittances last month, receiving 4.1 billion dollars — the largest amount ever received in a single month.
During the first nine months of the current financial year, total remittances reached 28.1 billion dollars, marking a significant rise of 33 percent.

A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office noted that this amount represents a 37.4 percent increase compared to remittances received in March of the previous year.
Highlighting the recent Overseas Pakistanis Convention held in Islamabad, the Prime Minister remarked that this surge in remittances reflects the unwavering dedication, trust, and commitment of Pakistanis living abroad toward the national economy and government policies.
He referred to overseas Pakistanis as the country’s treasured asset, acknowledging their hard work abroad which not only earns pride for the nation but also plays a vital role in bolstering the economy through their financial contributions.
Shehbaz Sharif affirmed that the nation stands proud of its citizens living abroad and assured that the government remains devoted to ensuring they receive all necessary support and services.
