ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Olzhas Bektenov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Heads of Government (CHG) Meeting in Islamabad earlier.
Welcoming Kazakhstan’s participation in the SCO CHG Meeting, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to collaborating with all SCO member states to promote the organization’s principles and objectives. Highlighting the strong and positive bilateral relations between the two countries, the Prime Minister underscored the importance of boosting trade and investment while also focusing on regional connectivity and security. To achieve these common goals, he emphasized the necessity of maintaining regular high-level interactions through established institutional mechanisms for bilateral engagement. The Prime Minister called for the prompt convening of meetings for Joint Working Groups on trade and agriculture.
