ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Mr. Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Heads of Government (CHG) Meeting taking place in Islamabad from October 15-16, 2024.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the Kyrgyz Republic’s active and positive participation in the SCO CHG Meeting and appreciated the support extended to Pakistan during its SCO Chairmanship. He reflected on the warm and brotherly relations between the two countries and conveyed satisfaction with the overall positive trajectory of bilateral ties.All arrangements finalized for SCO meeting in Islamabad

The Prime Minister emphasized Pakistan’s strong desire to further enhance cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic and highlighted the importance of exploring new avenues for collaboration in trade, investment, people-to-people contacts, and regional connectivity.

Mr. Akylbek Japarov congratulated the Prime Minister on the successful organization of the SCO CHG Meeting and commended the excellent arrangements made for the visiting delegations. He expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and his delegation. Mr. Japarov reiterated the Kyrgyz Republic’s commitment to working closely with Pakistan to strengthen bilateral cooperation across all mutually beneficial areas.
