PM expresses satisfaction over attaining record current account surplus
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his contentment over achieving a historic Current Account Surplus.
In a statement, he highlighted that Pakistan’s Current Account Surplus reaching 729 million dollars in November, for the first time in a decade, is a positive development and a promising sign for the country’s economy.FBR to implement Faceless Customs Assessment system at Karachi from 15th Dec
He noted that the State Bank of Pakistan’s reduction in the policy rate, a gradual decline in inflation and rising prices, along with the increase in the Current Account Surplus, reflect the success of the government’s effective economic strategies.
The Prime Minister emphasized that this record surplus will enhance Pakistan’s standing in the global economic market.
Shehbaz Sharif added that it will also boost the confidence of both domestic and international investors in Pakistan’s economic stability.
He praised Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Minister of State for Finance Ali Pervaiz Malik, and the government’s economic team for achieving this significant milestone.
