Pakistan’s Prime Minister to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan
ISLAMABAD: At the request of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, will undertake an official visit to Uzbekistan on February 25-26, 2025.
The agenda for the upcoming high-level discussions includes strengthening and expanding the strategic partnership and diverse cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.Pak-Uzbekistan PTA to become effective from Feb 1, 2023
The talks will focus on joint initiatives to boost bilateral trade, enhance transport connectivity, utilize transit potential, and foster collaboration in key sectors such as textiles, leather manufacturing, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, and other industries.
Additionally, discussions will cover the promotion of cultural, humanitarian, and tourism exchanges. Both sides will also share perspectives on current international and regional developments.
At the conclusion of the summit, a Joint Declaration and multiple bilateral agreements will be signed.
As part of the visit’s economic agenda, the leaders will also attend a joint Uzbekistan-Pakistan Business Forum.
