Pakistan’s Haider Ali clinches bronze medal in Paralympics discus throw

LAHORE: Pakistan’s Haider Ali has secured a Bronze medal in the Discus Throw event at the Paris Paralympics. Haider achieved a distance of 52.54 meters.

Uzbekistan’s Toliboy Yuldashev claimed the gold medal with a throw of 53.48 meters.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended his congratulations to Pakistani athlete Haider Ali for earning the Bronze medal in discus throw at the Paris Paralympics 2024.

In a message posted on the social media platform X, he praised Haider Ali’s bravery and perseverance as a beacon of inspiration for the whole nation.

The Prime Minister wished Haider Ali continued success.

Currently, China is leading the Paralympics medal tally with 169 medals, including 74 gold.

Great Britain holds the second position with 87 medals, 38 of which are gold, while the United States is in third place with 79 medals, including 27 gold medals.
