Pakistan’s exports to US increase 11.23% in 7 months
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s exports of goods and services to the United States (US) saw an increase of 11.23% during the first seven months of the fiscal year (2024-25) compared to the same period in the previous year, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
Total exports to the US amounted to $3.565 billion during July-January (2024-25), up from $3.205 billion in the corresponding months of the previous year, the SBP data revealed.
On a year-on-year basis, exports to the US also grew to $547.752 million in January 2025, compared to $456.508 million in January 2024.exports of india from other countries
Furthermore, on a month-on-month basis, exports to the US saw an increase of 8.57% in January 2025, compared to $504.481 million in December 2024, according to the SBP data.
Overall, Pakistan’s exports to other countries increased by 7.56% in the first seven months, rising from $17.826 billion to $19.175 billion, as per the SBP data.
On the other hand, imports from the US into Pakistan during the same period were recorded at $1.268 billion, up from $1.034 billion last year, showing a rise of 22.63% in July-January (2024-25).
On a year-on-year basis, imports from the US also increased to $188.310 million in January 2025, compared to $139.783 million in January 2024.
On a month-on-month basis, imports from the US saw a slight increase of 1.69% in January 2025, compared to imports of $185.170 million in December 2024, according to the data.
Overall, Pakistan’s imports increased by 10.88%, rising from $30.043 billion to $33.314 billion, the data showed.
