ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed a desire to enhance the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia into a long-term strategic and economic partnership, emphasizing that such collaboration would bring the two friendly nations even closer.

The President reaffirmed Pakistan’s profound respect for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to support Saudi Arabia.
He also praised the visionary leadership of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, commending the significant advancements Saudi Arabia is achieving under Vision 2030. He expressed appreciation for the Kingdom’s ongoing support to Pakistan during difficult times.
Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih noted that Saudi Arabia acknowledges Pakistan’s strategic geographical importance and its potential in natural resources and renewable energy.
He mentioned that Saudi Arabia plans to invest in Pakistan’s infrastructure and mining sectors, and in this context, his delegation will sign twenty-five agreements across various sectors aimed at enhancing economic cooperation between the two friendly nations. He expressed optimism that the signing of these agreements would herald a new era of economic collaboration between the two countries.
