ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has raised concerns regarding India’s backing of terrorist groups.
In her weekly news briefing in Islamabad , Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated that it is a well-established fact that these terror groups receive support from India. She recalled that Pakistan had detained an Indian Naval Officer a few years ago, who was found to be the mastermind behind the backing of espionage and terrorism in Balochistan.Pakistan’s foreign policy on successful trajectory: Attaullah
The spokesperson called on the Afghan authorities to take decisive action against these terror groups and prevent the use of Afghan territory for activities against Pakistan or any other neighboring country. She emphasized that Afghanistan should heed Pakistan’s repeated requests and avoid testing the patience of the Pakistani people.
In response to a question, the spokesperson affirmed that Pakistan will continue its collaboration with China to ensure the safety and security of Chinese nationals, projects, and institutions within the country.
She highlighted the strong dialogue and cooperation between Pakistan and China on a range of issues, including counterterrorism and safeguarding Chinese citizens. This collaboration is grounded in mutual respect, mutual benefit, and respect for each other’s sovereignty. As strategic partners and “iron brothers,” the two nations are committed to thwarting any attempts to undermine their relationship. She reiterated that Pakistan will not allow any efforts to derail the China-Pakistan strategic partnership.
When asked about relations with the United States, the spokesperson stated that both countries share a long history of friendly ties. She added that it is in their mutual interest to strengthen this relationship based on respect, shared interests, and non-interference in each other’s internal matters.
