Pakistan, China vow to high quality development of CPEC 2.0

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their dedication to the advanced development of CPEC 2.0, focusing on industrialization, Special Economic Zones (SEZs), renewable energy, agriculture, and community welfare initiatives.

This was highlighted during the 5th meeting of the CPEC Joint Working Group on International Cooperation and Coordination, held in Beijing. Participants recognized CPEC’s critical role in enhancing regional connectivity, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships, and achieving shared prosperity, including collaborations with third countries.
Both sides expressed their determination to strengthen cooperation in media, cultural programs, and interpersonal connections to advance the vision of a China-Pakistan Community of Shared Future in the New Era.

The Foreign Secretary described CPEC as a cornerstone of Pakistan-China economic collaboration and a glowing testament to the lasting friendship between the two nations.

China’s Vice Foreign Minister emphasized the synergy between the five new corridors introduced under CPEC 2.0—growth, livelihood, innovation, openness, and green initiatives—and Pakistan’s national development priorities centered around the “5 Es”: Exports, E-Pakistan, Energy, Environment, and Equity.
