Pakistan, Bangladesh seek stronger energy cooperation

Pakistan and Bangladesh discussed expanding cooperation in energy and mineral sectors, with focus on trade and joint ventures in limestone, coal and petroleum.
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik met Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Md. Iqbal Hussain, in Islamabad on August 19 to discuss strengthening bilateral ties in energy and mineral resources.
The talks centered on opportunities for joint ventures and trade in limestone, coal and petroleum products. Both sides emphasized investment prospects and knowledge-sharing to support economic growth and regional energy security.
Pakistan signals commitment
