New discoveries of oil, gas in country with SIFC’s support

ISLAMABAD: Recent discoveries of oil and gas in the country have been attributed to the support provided by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

There has been a 26% increase in crude oil reserves and a 2% rise in gas reserves by the end of the last fiscal year.Exports recorded ample increase due to SIFC’s efforts

Data from the Pakistan Petroleum Information Service reveals that available oil reserves rose to 243 million barrels in June of this year, up from 193 million barrels in December of the previous year. Meanwhile, gas reserves grew from 18.10 trillion cubic feet to 18.47 trillion cubic feet.
