Nation united against all external, internal threat: President
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has reiterated the nation’s commitment to remaining united against all external and internal threats.
Speaking at the Pakistan Day Parade at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad, on Sunday, he emphasized that the people of Pakistan have always stood firmly with the armed forces, ready to make any sacrifice for the motherland.
The President stated that while India has consistently displayed hostility towards Pakistan, extremist groups and terrorist organizations also continue their efforts to pursue malicious agendas. Asif Ali Zardari highlighted Pakistan’s resilience in rebuilding despite numerous challenges, pledging to continue on this path with determination and courage. He stressed the importance of strengthening the economy and advancing the agricultural sector.
Calling for unity, the President urged all political factions to set aside differences and collaborate for a stronger, more prosperous, and progressive Pakistan.
Recognizing the youth as a valuable asset, he underscored the necessity of equipping them with research-driven education and cutting-edge technological skills.
Discussing foreign policy, the President reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace and stability, advocating for strong international relations based on mutual respect and prosperity.
He reminded the nation of the sacrifices made by those who laid down their lives for the country. On this occasion, he also paid tribute to the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, urging the international community to enforce UN Security Council resolutions for a just resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
Expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine, Asif Ali Zardari called on the global community to take decisive action to halt the ongoing genocide of innocent Palestinians. He asserted that the Palestinian people deserve the right to live freely and with dignity, without any external interference.
