Nation to celebrate Pakistan Day tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: The nation will observe Pakistan Day on Sunday with a renewed commitment to striving for the country’s progress and stability.
This day commemorates the adoption of the historic Lahore Resolution on March 23, 1940, which laid the foundation for the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of South Asia.
Nation celebrates birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam
The day will begin with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and a 21-gun salute in provincial capitals.
Special prayers will be offered in mosques after Fajr for the nation’s prosperity, development, and unity.
A scaled-down Pakistan Day parade will take place at Aiwan-e-Sadr due to the holy month of Ramadan. President Asif Ali Zardari will be the chief guest, and contingents from all three branches of the armed forces will actively participate. Fighter jets of the Pakistan Air Force will perform a flypast.
An investiture ceremony will be held in the afternoon at Aiwan-e-Sadr, where President Asif Ali Zardari will present awards and medals to individuals in recognition of their exceptional contributions in various fields.
To mark the occasion, ISPR has released a special song titled “Meray Mehboob Pakistan – Meri Jaan Pakistan,” carrying the message: “One Heart, One Soul, One Pakistan.”
Radio Pakistan and PTV will air special programs to emphasize the significance of the day and honor the leaders of the Pakistan Movement.
