Nation celebrates birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam
ISLAMABAD: The nation is commemorating the 148th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Father of the Nation, with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
The day is observed as a public holiday, with the national flag prominently displayed on all public and private buildings.
The celebrations began with gun salutes in the federal and provincial capitals.

A dignified ceremony for the changing of the guards took place this morning at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi. A well-dressed contingent from the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul assumed the guard duties during the event.
Major General Iftikhar Hassan Chaudhry, Commandant of PMA Kakul, was the chief guest of the ceremony. He inspected the parade, laid a floral wreath, and offered fateha. Additionally, he recorded his impressions in the visitors’ book.
A guard of honor was presented to the Father of the Nation on this occasion, and Quran Khawani was held at the Mazar-e-Quaid earlier in the day.
Radio Pakistan and PTV are broadcasting special programs to honor Quaid-e-Azam’s legacy.
Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, accompanied by members of the Sindh cabinet, visited the Mazar-e-Quaid to pay their respects. They laid floral wreaths, offered fateha, and expressed their commitment to realizing the vision of a progressive and prosperous Pakistan envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam.
Speaking to the media, both leaders paid tribute to the armed forces for their sacrifices in safeguarding the nation.
