Motorbikes, three-wheelers sale increases 30% during Jul-Feb

ISLAMABAD: The sale of motorcycles and three-wheelers in the country has seen a 30 percent increase during the first eight months of the current fiscal year (2024-25) compared to the sales during the same period of the previous year.

According to the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA), a total of 962,315 motorcycles and three-wheelers were sold from July to February (2024-25), compared to 740,210 units sold during the same months in the previous year (2023-24).New Prices of Diesel, Petrol on Feb 16, 2025

Honda motorcycle sales grew by 25.88 percent, rising from 644,544 units to 811,395 units, while Suzuki motorcycle sales also rose by 57.70 percent, from 10,316 units to 16,269 units during the review period.

Sales of United Auto motorcycles increased to 92,307 units from 54,305 units, while Road Prince motorbike sales grew by 13.44 percent, reaching 12,022 units compared to 10,597 units in the previous year.

However, Yamaha motorcycle sales decreased to 3,587 units from 5,218 units, marking a decline of 31.25 percent.

Meanwhile, Road Prince three-wheeler sales climbed by 43 percent, from 821 units to 1,174 units, while Qingqi three-wheeler sales surged to 7,198 units from 3,727 units.

Sales of Sazgar three-wheelers increased dramatically by 102.25 percent, rising from 8,681 units to 17,558 units, while United Auto three-wheeler sales fell by 60.60 percent, from 1,805 units to 711 units, according to the data.
