Massive Response to ‘Maryam ke Dastak’ with 700,000 Resolved Cases

More than 900,000 citizens have used Maryam Ke Dastak, a public service initiative launched by the Government of Punjab to bring government services directly to homes. The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), which oversees the project, confirmed that over 700,000 of these requests have already been fulfilled.

The figures were shared in a recent review meeting held at Arfa Software Technology Park and led by PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf. The initiative, according to officials, has transformed how essential services are delivered in the province.

Around 137,000 requests are still under process and are expected to be resolved soon. The platform has also helped thousands of young citizens join as Dastak Facilitators, who play a key role in connecting residents with the required government services.

The program now provides 76 government services at the doorstep, eliminating the need to visit government offices. These services include essential documents like birth certificates, domiciles, property records, and copies of FIRs.

Chairman Faisal Yousaf noted that the initiative promotes time and cost savings, adds convenience, and contributes to better government-citizen interaction. Citizens can access these services by calling 1202 or using the Dastak mobile app.
