Maria B Unveils Farshi Shalwar Trend – Is It For You?

Islamabad: The Farshi Shalwar has recently gained popularity, making a strong comeback in designer collections and social media fashion trends.

This traditional attire, known for its regal and flowing design, has caught the attention of many fashion enthusiasts.

However, not everyone is thrilled about its resurgence.

Not Suitable for Everyone?

Celebrated Pakistani designer Maria B recently shared her perspective on the Farshi Shalwar trend.

While she acknowledged its elegance, she pointed out that it may not be flattering for all body types.

In a detailed video, Maria B expressed her thoughts, saying:

“Farshi Shalwar isn’t universally flattering. For instance, I think it looks stunning on my teenage daughter, but I wouldn’t wear it regularly as someone over 45. It’s more suitable for tall and slender individuals rather than those with a shorter or curvier physique.”

To illustrate her point, Maria B compared the Farshi Shalwar with Cigarette Pants, demonstrating how each silhouette affects the overall look.

Will the Farshi Shalwar Trend Last?

While some fashion lovers admire the elegance and traditional appeal of the Farshi Shalwar, others find it impractical for daily wear.

Critics argue that the excessive fabric makes it inconvenient and less versatile.

Many social media users speculate that the trend might fade away within a few months due to its limited wearability.

Despite the debate, the Farshi Shalwar has undoubtedly left its mark on the fashion scene.

Whether it remains a staple or becomes a short-lived trend, its influence on traditional fashion cannot be ignored.
