Man Wanted for Child Assault, Murder Injured in Gun Battle

Police in Multan have arrested a man accused of sexually abusing a minor girl in the Al-Mustafa Colony area, after a brief exchange of gunfire during an attempted arrest. The incident occurred on July 15 and was caught on surveillance footage, which has now been handed over to authorities.

The arrest took place during a police operation aimed at apprehending the suspect. Officials reported that the man opened fire on officers, prompting a swift response that resulted in his injury. He was later shifted to Nishtar Hospital, where he remains under police watch.

A spokesperson for Multan police revealed that the suspect is also linked to a separate murder investigation. He is believed to have fatally attacked his own brother, and a case has already been filed against him at the B-Zone Police Station.

The authorities have said that inquiries into both cases are ongoing and that more information will be shared as evidence is reviewed. The CCTV footage from the July incident is being examined closely by investigators.
