Pakistan, KSA agree to take steps for narcotics control
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to enhance collaborative efforts for combating drug trafficking within the framework of mutual cooperation.
This consensus was achieved during a meeting between Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Mohsin Naqvi, and Saudi Arabia’s Director General of Narcotics Control, Major General Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Qarni, in Riyadh.Tanveer highlights Pakistan’s industrial and agricultural potential with Belarus
During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the importance of coordinated global action against narcotics, stating that no single nation can tackle this challenge on its own. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to working closely with Saudi Arabia on anti-drug initiatives.
While visiting the headquarters of the Saudi Directorate of Narcotics Control, the minister toured the control room and other operational departments. He received a briefing on Saudi Arabia’s drug interdiction strategies and systems.
Major General Mohammed Al-Qarni offered Pakistan advanced tools and technologies for narcotics detection to strengthen its efforts in curbing drug trafficking.
